Mr. Dani specializes on structuring of
complex offshore funds and investments including Shariah
Compliant funds for their investments in India. He regularly
advises several private equity funds as well as Indian business
houses raising capital through this route including precedent
setting structured finance transactions, commercial lending
transactions.
Mr. Dani has advised clients in several complex transactions
also advises several real estate developers in various complex
structured financing transactions across, retail, real estate,
infrastructure, telecom equipments and financial services
sector throughout India. Mr. Dani has also assisted several
developers in setting up of Special Economic Zones.
Mr. Dani is a co-founder of Induslaw, which in a short span
of time has been rated at par with and in some instances
better than some of the most established law firms in India
and overall rated as an upcoming law firm.
Some key transactions recently concluded
by Mr. Dani include, advising two prominent publicly listed
Indian companies into structuring of a USD 200 Million fund
for investment in the Indian infrastructure sector, Structured
a USD 60 Million Shariah’ compliant fund for investment
in Indian retail real estate projects in India, advised
Vatika Limited, in a complex USD 220 Million structured
finance transaction with Wachovia Limited, advised Micromax
Limited, in a USD 45 Million private equity and structured
finance transaction with TA Associates, advised Miss Sixty
in its proposed joint venture with a leading Indian luxury
brand retailer, represented North-West Switchgear Limited
in the sale of its trademark to Wipro Limited, Represented
Homestore India Limited, a leading retail chain in its Joint
Venture with Wadhawan Retail Private Limited, relating to
its food and grocery business
Before Co-founding Indus law, Mr. Dani worked for White&
Case’s India Practice and a couple of other prominent
law firms in India.
Mr. Dani earned his LL.M in International and Financial
Laws from Boston University School of Law in 2001 and he
is admitted to practice law in India and New York.
