Rajib Chanda

Rajib Chanda, a partner in the Corporate Department of the Washington, D.C. office, focuses on investment management and securities law. Rajib's primary focus is on counseling investment advisers and registered investment companies (open-end mutual funds, exchange-traded funds and closed-end funds) on transactional, regulatory, and investigative matters. Rajib also has substantial experience in transactions involving investment companies, including mergers and acquisitions of or by investment advisers, as well as experience in counseling foreign and U.S. clients on cross-border transactional and regulatory matters.

Professional & Civic Activities

Rajib has significant experience in teaching negotiation skills to law students, practicing attorneys, and other professionals.
Between 1998 and 2001, he served as a teaching assistant for the Negotiation Workshop at Harvard Law School. Since
1998, he has been an instructor for week-long basic and advanced negotiation workshops through the Program of Instruction for Lawyers at Harvard on over 15 occasions. He also runs a two-part negotiation workshop offered to Ropes & Gray summer and junior associates.
