The Honorable Sabita Singh

Circuit Justice, District Court, Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Sabita Singh is Associate Justice of the District Court Department of the Trial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Her appointment by the governor in 2006 made her the first South Asian judge in the Commomwealth. Prior to joining the bench, Judge Singh was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Public Corruption Unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Boston, where she focused on human trafficking cases. Prior to that, Judge Singh engaged in civil litigation with Bingham McCutchen's White Collar and Business Regulation Group and worked as an Assistant District Attorney with the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office. She clerked for the Superior Court Department of the Trial Court after graduation from Boston University School of Law. She is a former president of the South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston and the North American South Asian Bar Association.
