Trish Walsh

General Counsel, Babson Capital Management LLC, a MassMutual subsidiary

Trish Walsh is General Counsel and Secretary of Babson Capital Management. Ms. Walsh is also Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Babson's parent company, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, for which she serves as chief investment lawyer. In her capacity as General Counsel for Babson Capital, she is responsible for all its legal affairs. The chief legal officers of Babson Capital Europe and Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors LLC report on a dotted line basis to Ms. Walsh. Ms. Walsh has been a leader in various diversity initiatives at MassMutual. She chairs the Law Division’s Diversity Committee and is a founding member of the Company’s GLBT employee resource group. She has been with MassMutual since September 2002.

Prior to joining MassMutual, Ms. Walsh was an associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen and Hamilton where she advised large financial institutions in various capital markets transactions. Immediately prior to Cleary, she provided legal advice on regulatory and enforcement activities pertaining to investment advisers and investment companies while working in the Office of the General Counsel at the SEC. Ms. Walsh holds a B.A from Mount Holyoke College, a Master of Public Affairs from Princeton and a J.D. from Yale Law School. She served as a law clerk to the Hon. Rosemary Barkett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Hon. Janet C. Hall of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. Ms. Walsh resides in Northampton, MA.
